Family support

One person's addiction affects the whole family.

The family is not the cause of the addiction, nor directly responsible for curing it — it is affected, and it deserves its own support and recovery.

Quiet Homes

A journey of awareness and balance for families living with addiction.

An integrated psychological-spiritual recovery program designed for the families of people facing addiction. It helps families regain psychological and spiritual balance and build healthy awareness and boundaries, within a framework that respects Islamic values and Arab culture. It is led by Dr. Ahlam Al-Azkawi, family-support specialist, drawing on the internationally used CRAFT family-engagement approach.

  • Parallel recovery: a person's recovery isn't complete without their family's
  • Integrated method: contemporary psychology and faith-based values
  • An independent path: your loved one doesn't need to be in treatment

FAQ

Questions from families

How do I deal with someone who refuses treatment?
Confrontation and pressure often increase resistance. Family-engagement programs based on approaches such as CRAFT teach families communication skills and healthy boundaries that make acceptance of treatment more likely and protect the family from burnout. Start with Quiet Homes or the free parents' seminar.
Does my loved one have to be in treatment?
No. Quiet Homes is an independent path for the family; your loved one doesn't need to be in treatment.
How can I tell if my son is using?
Changes in sleep, appetite or mood, social withdrawal, falling performance at school or work, or unexplained money problems can be signs. They are not a diagnosis — speak with a specialist to assess the situation calmly.
Is the parents' seminar really free?
Yes. The parents' seminar is free and held every Saturday. Contact us on WhatsApp to join.
